Merrie Meet
Welcome to this latest post on the A Little Bit of Magick blog page.  I hope that it will prove of interest as we talk about some of the everyday items that every self respective wytch should have in their wytches tookit

Spell Book
Apart from A Book Of Shadow any person who wishes to call themself a wytch really must have, as an almost essential item, a book of some description in which to write spells.  Once that book has been created it becomes the “go to” resource for any magickal spellworking.

Ginger
This amazing root can be used to speed up the spells you are casting, making things happen much more quickly.  Because it is so powerful Ginger should be used sparingly and is probably the smallest ingredient in any spell.  It is also known to enhance passion

Basil
Basil has many uses and is known in some circles as “The Multi Purpose Herb”  It can bring about good fortune in both Love and Money. It is also useful for its cleansing properties and is very good for mopping floors allegedly.

Mint
A great aid to helping spells work faster Mint is also useful to preparing the mind and for aligning the intension when working with charms.  If used as a spray it have help to increase the vibrations of a space and it is ideal to use in an office.  You can also use it (when mixed with boiling water and left to cool) in your rinse water after washing your hair

Rose Water
This is a very mild and gentle protective agent that can be used as a floor wash to help eliminate heavy vibrations.  It helps make a home or ritual space a pleasant space in which to work or live.  If you are feeling down or low you can splash on a few drops of Rose Water as a pick me up.

Rosemary
This is often used in cleansing or protecting rituals and if placed in a child’s bedroom is a great protector from negative energies  It is also said to be able to keep your heart open as alluded to in the poem “Rosemary For Remembrance”

Sage
A herb of wisdom and healing  a teaspoon of sage added to a cup of boiling water and poured into a bath can help destroy illusions and resolve ongoing problems.  It can also be placed in a charm bag where it will help make you expectations about a spell more realisting.  It is commonly used for smudging a house to make it feel lighter and its use will help remove accumulated negative energy.

Garlic
Garlic possesses amazing health properties as well as being used in magical workings to remove negativity and to purify thoughts

Sugar
Used as an attracting agent in magical workings.  It can be used by businesses to draw in customers.  It help people become more agreeable to your wishes or it can be used at the entrance to “draw people in”.

And finally

Incense (preferably Sandalwood
This type of incense is very effective at protection and is used in spells and charms to banish the negative forces that are in your life.  It is great if you are feeling blocked or in a twist.

So that brings me to the end of this short piece about the things that all wytches should not be without.  I hope that you have found it both interesting and enlightening.
