This
week I thought that it might be useful to bring you a more comprehensive list
of household herbs and their uses when we are performing Magickal
workings.
This list is not comprehensive
but lists the more commonly found herbs that any self respecting wytch would
have in their kitchen
Basil
– aids domestic harmony, home protection, purifying, and helps ward off
negative influences
Bay
Leaves – psychic powers, an aid to divination, success, money, and the granting
of wishes
Black
Pepper – banishes negativity, wards off evil and gives protection
Cayenne
Pepper- helps to deal with separation and speeds up the effects of magickal
workings
Chamomile
– represents masculine energy, money and luck, helps to reverses hexes
Cinnamon
– brings high levels of spirituality and psychic ability, promotes love and
lust
Cloves
– use for driving away negativity, cleansing and help towards bringing
propsperity
Ginger
– adds strength to any working, draws in new experiences
Orange
Peel – divination, love, money, luck and emotional peace
Oregano
– bringer of joy, strength, energy and vitality
Paprika
– this adds an extra boost to any magickal working
Parsley
– useful in divinations, great for protection and helps with psychic
advancement
Peppermint
– a cleansing herb that helps promote peaceful sleep, helps bring about change,
abundance and wishes
Poppy
Seeds – heightens awareness, can help alleviate insomnia, brings luck and
pleasure
Rosemary
– good for cleansing, purifying and helping with matters of the heart
Sea
Salt – this is great for cleansing and purification
Spearmint
– helps promote healing, provides sleep protection, works to increase vitality
and is good for doing wish work
Thyme
– invigorating, inspires the user to move on to new things – it is great for
aiding someone to get over a loss
Vanilla
– Love, lust passion and restoring energy
