Merrie Meet

Welcome to A Little Bit of Magick.  Let me ask you a question -

Are you sensitive?
Merrie Meet

Are you sensitive?

Are you aware of sounds and images that are outside of the normal 5 senses we as humans have learned to experience on a daily basis? If you are able to answer yes to these points it is quite possible that you could be a natural White Witch

Like many other people you are probably curious about what makes the difference between black or white witches and so here and now let me begin to explain this for you

Black witches are usually identified by the wearing of black robes Black hats and riding around on broomsticks. These characters have their base in popular culture along with Halloween jack of lanterns and ghosts

However, despite these comedic characterisations, there is a reality about the black witch. Black witches have a tendency to use their powers for manipulation

Witches of any kind often seen as folk healers, they can intuitively blend herbs, plants and natural elements to create potions. They sometimes cast spells using incense, goblets and candles

They are often attuned to, and work in accordance with, the phases of the moon, sometimes in the open air. They may work together in the covenants or groups, or they may work as solitary practitioners.

If you feel drawn to experience the world of the witch, it is likely that you are a witch already but have not yet recognised it. A person never needs to be a witch, they simply need to know how to draw out the natural magic within themselves. This takes practice, dedication and focus on your powers by using natural things such as tools and potions

Many witches have the ability to communicate with those who have passed away and yet they often do not offer this as a service to others for a fee

One of the first and most important steps you would have to take towards becoming a white witch is adherance to the most important law regarding white witchcraft.

This law states "if it harm is none, do what you will and this shall be the whole of the law!"

Some witches who are white practitioners follow strict ceremonial and ritual magic. They may dress in white or they may choose to practice their craft "skyclad", (that is without clothing).

A witch can begin practising the most basic spells and rituals as he or she sees fit. But, if they wish to be more involved with the group, there are groups or covens where it is possible to celebrate rituals together.

The basic tools of a witch will include an altar and /or a sacred or special place, chalices, mortars and pestilence, wands, crystal balls and other divinatory tools.

However, you do not need to have these tools to learn and practice white magic. Having a special space in which to practice is essential.

You need to be able to focus on positive energies when conducting white magic. This is one of the first things are white magician must learn to do. You must learn to focus and send your energy into the direction you wish it to go.

To start a life of white magic it is important to learn all that you can. Be patient as you learn to study the ways of going into the alpha state of mind. This is essential learning so that you can enter the level of mind necessary for most effective magic.

The sacred space where you place your altar can be as fancy and adorned as you wish or it can be as simple as a space where you have room to place your preferred candles and incense.

The essential step towards becoming a practitioner of white magic is to answer the inner prompting to do so and then, learn all you can and practice with as much love and light as possible
